Such a lovely campaign: insurance company a.s.r. helping out a much-loved Rotterdam icon in need: Diergaarde Blijdorp (Rotterdam Zoo), by “giving” them the sponsorship of soccer team Feyenoord.

Ford recently launched a commercial campaign to introduce the new Focus ST. The commercial starts with these words superimposed over the video:

Recently, we introduced the 252 hp Ford Focus ST by driving head-to-head through the narrow streets of Key West. But we didn’t film it. You did.

The video switches between shots of a cheering crowd filming from every angle, closing in on a guy holding a camera over the heads of the crowd, a girl hanging over the barricades with an iPhone, a guy in a tree, people crowded onto a balcony, and the cars, one red and one yellow, racing in tandem, sliding to a stop at Mallory Square with the moonlit ocean in the background. It’s billed as the first ever spectator-filmed commercial, and it’s a smart example of digital storytelling. Using spectator video takes the viewer into the crowd and into the moment.

Louis Vuitton’s tribute to Muhammad Ali

This is a stylized interpretation of Muhammad Ali’s quotes, which features hip-hop artist Yasiin Bey and calligraphist Niels Shoe Meulman paying their tribute to the great sportsman. Apart from the two videos (see the other one here), there are also several images of Muhammad Ali showcased on the campaign’s website, with some room left for another video or two that should be released soon.

Oxfam Novib - Commercial for RTL (with Holland’s Next Top Model)

At the start of our Christmas campaign for charity organization Oxfam Novib, we produced this commercial with the four finalists of Holland’s Next Top Model. May the best girl win…

The commercial was premiered during the live final of the TV show on RTL 4, and was run on all RTL channels throughout December 2011.

VERTOV was the lead creative agency for the online and audiovisual campaign ‘Give a goat as a Christmas gift’, and produced this commercial and several online spots. For PR of the campaign, we worked closely with Coebergh Communicatie & PR.
