Martijn gained his experience as a storyteller from being a writer/director of short films and drama series since 10 years (winning prizes at international film festivals such as Cannes and Palm Springs); his extensive expertise in online and new media stems from 5 years as creative director for Moodfactory, a renowned creative communications company.
Martijn has worked as a lead creative on accounts such as Rabobank, Heineken, Rituals Cosmetics, TNO, Schiphol Airport, and the Dutch government. He is president of the Dutch Directors Guilda blogger at Frankwatching and TEDxAmsterdam, guest lecturer at the Dutch Film and Television Academy and the University of Amsterdam, and is debuting with a novel at publisher L.J. Veen in 2014.
